Childcare Provision

Primary Schools are now required to publish alongside their Performance information a list of their childcare provision making it easier for parents to know what is available.

New Brancepeth Primary School offers a range of childcare provision which we have listed below:

Wraparound Care

From September 2024, we introduced a wraparound care offer for children from Reception-Year 6.  These sessions run from 7:30am-8:00am (then children go into Breakfast Club) and from 4:15pm-5:00 following After School Club.  These sessions are chargeable for all children.  Please contact the school office for further information.  You may be eligible for support with childcare costs via Childcare Choices.

In our Nursery and 2-year-old provision, we are flexible with our childcare to meet the needs of parents. We offer full days, lunch clubs and additional sessions (to be purchased) as well as the government’s 30 hour free childcare scheme and 15 hours free scheme for 2-year-olds.  The eligibility for qualifying for either of these schemes is very different.  You can check whether you are eligible for the free 30 hours via the eligibility tracker at www.childcarechoices.gov.uk . To find out more about the 2-year old places, contact Miss Dorn in our office.

Breakfast Club

As many parents now work as a school we recognise the importance of Wraparound Childcare.  School provides a Breakfast Club which runs from 8:00 a.m. daily and is FREE to pupils from Reception-Year 6.  This is priced at £2 per session for nursery (3/4-year-olds) as we need to ensure staffing to meet ratios.  We also offer a range of after school clubs which can be found in our clubs section.

After School Clubs

We offer a range of different clubs at our school and these usually change each term. You can view our list of After School Clubs on our website.

For further information about any of the items shown, please contact the school office.
